Scottish Events organised for a party of 40 people to go along to the gala performance of the play Black Watch in Edinburgh’s Pleasance Theatre in June 2007.
First Minister for Scotland Alex Salmond asked Scottish Events to arrange for representatives from the Scottish Regiments to attend the special showing of the play to celebrate the opening of the Scottish Parliament, which was hosted by himself and the presiding officer the Rt Hon George Reid. Scottish Events guests enjoyed prime VIP seats and mingled with various celebrities on the night including Sir Sean Connery, his wife Micheline and Irish actress Frances Healy. Guests also had the opportunity to meet the actors from the play first hand at the champagne reception after the play finished. After the play finished Scottish Events arranged dinner at a local Italian restaurant for all of the guests. Accommodation, transport and parking were also arranged for all who attended if required. All had a fantastic and memorable night.
