Scottish Events in conjunction with the Scottish Government's Events and Protocol Team organised a reception to celebrate the work of Scotland’s service personnel and also to recognise the work of the Save the Scottish Regiments/Reinstatement our Army Regiments campaign.

The list of arrangements we made ranged from issuing the invitations, maintaining the guest list, organising transport, meals and accommodation for the guests through to a audio video presentation to show the work of the campaign group which was screened on the evening of the event.



Hosted by First Minister Alex Salmond 150 guests enjoyed a social evening at Edinburgh Castle. Guests were picked up at the Great Esplanade and on arrival piped in to the Great Hall where the Events Team welcomed them. Drinks and canapés were served throughout the evening with guests given the chance to mingle and chat then towards the end of the night, have the opportunity of a private viewing of the Scottish Crown Jewels and Stone of Destiny.

Scottish Events arranged accommodation for guests who chose to stay the night in Edinburgh.

Guests were transported to Ciao Roma at South Bridge at the end of the reception to enjoy a beautiful Italian meal and partake in their fine wines.
